Security Update 2007-003 addresses dozens of vulnerabilities
Along with Mac OS X 10.4.9, Apple today also issued a fix for dozens and dozens of highly critical vulnerabilities in Mac OS X 10.3 and Mac OS X 10.4 - some of the the most serious were disclosed by the Month of Apple Bugs project this past January. A cursory review Security Update 2007-003 indicates 40+ security issues were patched in the components that make up Mac OS X 10.3 and Mac OS X 10.4.
Apple recommends all users of Mac OS X 10.3 and Mac OS X 10.4 install this critical update.
Note: depending on your configuration, Security Update 2007-003 may be delivered as part of the latest Mac OS X update (Mac OS X 10.4.9). Also, an update to iPhoto 6 released today patches yet another vulnerability discovered by the MOAB.

today has an article on how some companies are hoping and betting on the rise
of LAN gaming centers, traveling tournaments
and "free software", while others (such as Microsoft) are betting
folks prefer
their
own
couch and
Xboxes to a
trip to
the
gaming theater.
